Bible Passage(s): Ephesians 4: 1-10
Memory Verse: “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9

‘Sufficient’ implies adequate; as much as is needed for the time and purpose.

That is always having enough for your needs and requirements whatever the situation or circumstances that may confront you at any time.

These are tough times for many people all over the world. Personal issues, as well as those of national and international dimensions are confronting us right now. On the personal front, funds are low and many are in desperate need and conditions. Many face challenges with their health, family and business. Recently in Nigeria, many have been rendered homeless by the unprecedented flooding that occurred due to heavy rainfall. Many even lost their loved ones in this unprecedented environmental disaster. On the other hand, the menace of Boko Aram continues unabated and churches in Nigeria are daily being attacked by suicide bombers, killing innocent people in their place of worship.

On the international scene, these are not the best of times for the world. Hurricane Sandy is spreading over the Atlantic Ocean and the east coast of United States of America is feeling the greatest brunt of its negative impact. This is despite the global economic downturn that the world is confronting, particularly in the countries of Europe. Serious civil war continues unabated in Syria, and Turkey has joined the fray, with Lebanon having a share of the violence.

However, despite all the problems and turmoil, I bring to you this month a message of hope and assurance. Whatever is your personal circumstance and experience now, the Lord is saying to you through Apostle Paul as contained in the memory verse, His grace is sufficient for you: for your strength is made perfect in weakness. Hence do not despair! The Lord has equipped you with sufficient grace to cope and overcome. He has given every one of us adequate grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Be of good cheer! You will pull through in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. Amen.

The Lord bless and keep you, may He make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you. May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace, now and forevermore.

Have a most blessed month.
