Bible Passage(s): Deuteronomy 28: 1 – 14

Memory Verse: “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God.” Deuteronomy 28: 1 – 2

Abundance is when we have all things in surplus and plenty. It is not just about money or the material things of life, but an all-encompassing thing that fills our lives with superlative provisions of God in all its ramifications.

Abundance is akin to when the Kingdom of God manifests in the life of His child and he or she enjoys a life of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. In this state, all things that one needs to enjoy a peaceable and contented life are generously supplied by the Lord.

However, the passage we just read makes some prescriptions for us to exist in such a state of abundance described above. It is only when we obey all the commandments of God and do not turn either to the left or to the right, but we are single minded, living upright lives, as the Lord grants us the grace, that we are be able to live in such a state of abundance outlined in verses 3 to 14 of Deuteronomy chapter 28.

I believe that the Lord wants to bring us into such a state of abundance this month, where our souls will thrive and prosper, even in the present state of drought being experienced in Nigeria and indeed all over the world. We should be careful not to join ‘them’ by trying to help ourselves and in the process we miss observance of the commandments of God.

This month, let us do all within our power to live in obedience, resting on the Lord. The time for the receipt of our good news is imminent!

May the Lord bless and keep you. May He make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you. May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace, now and forevermore. Amen. Have a wonderful month and a good year.

Prayer Points
1. Thank the Lord for bringing you into the month of February, the month of abundance.

2. Ask Him to grant you the grace to stand perfect and complete in Him, doing His will in obedience to His commandments and statutes. That you will be in the right place at the right time to receive the good news and abundance that the Lord has ordained for you this month.

3. Pray, claiming the blessings enumerated in Deuteronomy 28: 3 – 14. Asking the Lord not delay the fulfilment of the blessings in your life this month.

This month, the Lord will teach you in the way you should go. He will counsel you with His loving eye. You shall have a great month full of the abundance of His grace in Jesus mighty name.
