Bible Passage: Proverbs 6: 1 – 35, 5: 1 – 22
Memory Verse; “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with thy getting get understanding. Exalt her, and she shall promote thee; she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her. She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.” Proverbs 4: 7-9
Wisdom is knowing the prefect will of God and walking in it day by day. By wisdom, we are led in the path of righteousness and live a life of integrity and purpose, not only for ourselves, but the people we lead. We become ambassadors of God’s Kingdom on earth showing forth His grace and glory.
Our memory verse says, with thy getting, get understanding. Understanding is the twin sister of wisdom; both of them help us to live a life that is pleasing to God, exalting His Holy name and doing things that bring glory and honour to Him. By the duo of wisdom and understanding, we no more live a selfish life, but we come to know the will and purpose of God for our life. We will be able to pursue and live it out on a daily basis and no more fret and worry about what to eat, put on, or what the future holds for us. With wisdom we will know the future as God outlines it for us.
A person who does not operate in the wisdom of God has no life! He is like a ship floating aimlessly on the sea of life. He is tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine and opinion of men. He soon hits the rocks, breaks into pieces and is washed onto the sea shore of life, amounting to nothing!
Wisdom is to give your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, study your Bible daily, seek understanding under the guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit, meditate and pray on it and fellowship with other believers. When you get and exalt wisdom, promotion and honour shall be your daily experience. Above all, you shall be decorated with grace and the glory of God shall be your crown. You shall be delivered from the manipulations, cunning and evil devices of men. Then you shall live a life of godliness and contentment, and at the end of your life, you shall gain the Kingdom of God in eternity.
The Lord bless and keep you. May He make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you. May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace, now and forevermore. Amen.

Prayers
1. Thank the Lord for the month of October, as we mark the Independence anniversary of our nation.
2. Pray that the wisdom of God will guide our leaders and all in position of authority and they will use their exalted positions to work for the unity of the country, bringing comfort, succour and prosperity to the generality of the people.
3. Pray particularly for our President and his Vice (Muhammadu Buhari and Yemi Osinbajo), that they will be imbued with wisdom to pilot the affairs of this nation aright and safely take it to the desired haven that God has ordained for her.
4. Pray for yourself that you will operate in wisdom and understanding this month. That you will be appropriately guided and led by the Lord.
This month, the Lord will guide and direct your path. You will walk in wisdom and understating and not go into evil ways or wrong hands. You shall do the perfect will of God and He will guide you continuously.
