Bible Passage(s): Matthew 14: 22 – 33

Memory Verse:    “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”  “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?” NIV” Matthew 14: 28 – 31

Faith is the essential ingredient that will enable us to have experiential knowledge of the Unlimited as God has promised us this year. When faith is absent, walking in the supernatural is impossible. You will achieve outstanding and astounding breakthrough when you have faith.. So what is faith? Hebrews Chapter 11 verse 1 defined faith as “…… being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see;” NIV. By faith, we believe God’s Word and promises to us. We have assurance that whatever we propose in our heart in line the Word of God shall be come to pass. Peter exercised great faith when he asked Jesus, Can I come? And when Jesus said come, Peter actually walked on water, because he had faith in Jesus Christ and His Word; ‘Come’.

However we cannot be tentative with faith. We have to exercise it to the end. We must not look at our situation or circumstances to exercise our faith. Peter’s undoing was that he allowed his environment and the threat of the wind to cause him to be afraid. Fear, someone says is ‘False expectations appearing real’. Peter allowed the fact that the wind was boisterous to affect his faith in Jesus. He had forgotten that the wind was actually there when he started out walking on water!

We will not be able to walk in the unlimited that God has promised us this year if we are afraid and doubt the Word of God. We have to be totally sold out to God this year to have the experiential knowledge of the unlimited. Do not doubt and don’t be afraid. Jesus rebuked Peter; You of little faith, why did you doubt?

I therefore charge us to walk in fullness of the authority that we have in Christ Jesus, so that we can experience the UNLIMITED power of God in our Life, Family, Ministry and Business and also in our country. Let us go all the way, not doubting or be afraid, no matter the situation confronting us at any point in time along the way. Remember, this is the year that we will experience the Unlimited Power of God in all ramifications. Let us go in faith and traverse the land in absolute confidence in the Word of God, which will never fail!

May the Lord bless and keep you. May He make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you. May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace, now and forevermore. Amen.

Prayer
Lord, let me operate in the confidence of your Word to me this year and let my life experience the Unlimited in all ramifications.
