Memory Verse:

" I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance." Luke 15:7 NKJV.

In the book of Luke chapter 15, Jesus Christ gave three parables to explain why He was associating with some groups of people who were despised in the society of those times. In particular, the Scribes and Pharisees, found it offensive for Jesus to be associating with tax collectors, who were condemned as sinners because of the nature of their work. The particular story in verses 1 to 7, speaks of His response; concerning the lost sheep for which the shepherd had to leave the other sheep to find. And having found it, the shepherd threw a party, rejoicing, saying: rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!' (Luke 15:6) The moral of this story, as concluded by Jesus Christ is that, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.

This story aptly describes the attitude of our God to sinners; the lost sheep. His greatest desire is that none of His children is lost, but that they should all come back home to His love by receiving forgiveness of sins and eternal salvation. But this cannot happen if we do not go. The Bible asks us in Rom 10:14-15: 'How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" NIV. As children of God, who have been called and reconciled to Him by the blood of the Lamb, we need to go out there to preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to the people of the world. Many are perishing everyday with no hope of heaven. We need to make hay while the sun shines!

The problems of our world today challenges us to go into battle; not with weapons of mass destruction, but with the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:17). Our youths are being won over by the devil day by day. Many of them are being brainwashed with hate propaganda to turn against the society. That is why you see many joining gangs of terrorist who are terrorizing the world; from Al-Quaeda to Boko Haram and now to ISIS. How do you explain the decision of a well educated 28 year old Bedouin Israeli doctor who went to fight alongside ISIS in Syria and died in battle? Our youths need an alternative message - the message of Love and not of hate. The need is quite urgent! We need to win the intellectual battle for the hearts of our youths. Christians, lets wake up from our 'prosperity' stupor and join in the battle. Satan is fast eroding the gains of the past efforts of our fathers in the faith. There is need for a concerted effort to evangelize the world. Where are the Bill Grahams of our times? They have all gotten themselves enmeshed in the act of playing church, neglecting their first love, which is the call of God upon their lives to evangelize the world. Our purpose is to convey the message of Christ through both our lives and our lips. My prayer is that the Lord will help us to become instruments that convey the music of His love to the lost and perishing generation of our world. I shudder to think of what the future holds for our world if we fail in this battle. The Lord will help us. Amen.

The Lord bless and keep you. May He make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you. May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace, now and forevermore, Amen. Have a really splendid month in Jesus name.
